About Us

Working in the relaxing surroundings of our workshop in an old watermill in the Derbyshire Dales, Chris and Stephanie Ellis are the driving forces behind Greenhill Traditional Joinery.

Chris spent many years as a general joiner, specialising in structural joinery, moving on to design for other companies before setting up his own workshop, designing and making a multitude of traditional and unique products. From cottage pine dressers, wardrobes and shutters, to 4-poster beds, Chris loves nothing more than the challenge of creating new and innovative designs for our ever-growing list of customers.

The past few years have seen us introduce and add to our unique range of poultry coops and small animal houses – high quality, original patented designs manufactured from sustainable timber.

We are members of ACID – the Anti Copying in Design organisation and we remain true to our business philosophy of providing a first class supply and back-up service to our customers.
